Anchor rode - strength of potentially weakest points

Mate - I will take a piccy and post it up so that you can see what I mean....I have taken off some material and stick welded a lump of reo on so that the anchor does not twist in the bowsprit, but sits upright....I used a hinged one. I also got some stainless plate cut to sit in and re-inforce the bowsprit which would probably have been too weak on its own...hard to describe so I will photo it.

PS. The Manson is a nice bit of kit and I have never had it let me down, nor has it been hard to set....it is much better in most of the bay compared to a similar size sand anchor. I am not convinced that the SARCA style are worth the dough or do a better job despite their web-site videos.
