Hoo prints the best charts

Went to a cupple places the other day looking at bying a few charts for the Caloundra ,Cap Morton, banks, North reef , After talking to a few people i found out this would cost around $100 and i would reqire 4 or 5 charts.
I am going to mount them on the shed wall so i can mark off all my GPS spots And plan new trips over a beer . All ways looking for new ground to fish. Problems i am haveing. Info on charts vearys, some have reefs marked and some bugger all. others dont go out wide. stop around the 100m.
Hoo prints the best charts and were do i get them from.

Have you tried printing off your own. Use google earth, and print off a page for each area you plan to fish, mark off your GPS points, then laminate the pages.

Trevcob, have been looking for some good charts myself. Hard finding charts with good detail but department of transport have some, when i get them i will let you know the quality and price. Where abouts did you find the other charts for 100?

There's a little place in Caboolture that sells maps. He's just over the train line.

hey trev if you want the marine maps like the department of transport ones.They only go out to 150mtr of the the cape and closer off mooloolaba, let me know we used to print at my work have a couple of full sets of the marine maps from tweed to hervey bay.

Sunmap produce offshore fishing maps - as per the Sunshine Coast map. They have them covering most of Qld. They are available from most of the bigger tackle stores, newsagents and some bait shops. Also available from www.publications.qld.gov.au/ProductBrowse.aspx

I did exactly the same thing you want to do yesterday. I stopped at the Land Centre Wooloongabba and grabbed a Sunmap fishing maps for Moreton, Sunny and Gold Coast and Cap Coast (collectors edition...the old man in his DT's on back!!) The SE coast ones are marked for GPS WGS84. $8.50 each.

drop into ur local bait nd tackle and pik one up... It might cost u 5 or 10 bucks but its worth it...

Whiting is dead right. Sunmaps are the best I have found as they are dedicating to fisherman and hight raised areas of reef.

If you are in Brisbane, Boatbooks on Albert street has them all. I have one that goes from Wide Caloundra to Point Lookout.

Thanks gents for the help its given me a few difrent ways to look.I see i am not the only one that has struck this. The shop i went to was Whitmors. A covered map is $17 but thay dont have a full set by the same printers.
