    Offshore South Passage.

    Went out for fish today with a few blokes from the fishing club. (Snapper trip.) The Bar was good livies where hard to find put about 20 in the tank mostly yakkas couple of slimies. Headed east into 10 knot + easterly. Fished different reef lines on way east pic ked up a feed. Snapper pearlies parrot. Cheers Roy.

    did you catch the snapper on livies? how do you rig up to fish livebait in that depth of water?

    Brejen and I did similar trip from the Gc Seaway sunday .Wind at the seaway tower 5knts further out 15 to 20, big swells ,drift ,bugger all livies and nothing to show for our efforts .The broady ramp was good tho no hold ups going or coming for a change ....oh well theres always next time

    G'day Rufus kev Yeah caught a couple on livies the rest on strip baits (fish flesh). You can use single or double hook rigs for the livies. Single hook rig, just put the hook in the nose of the bait or just behind the head. Don't go threw or under the lateral line. Double hook rig top hook threw nose and bottom hook threw tail (from above vent back). Use enough lead to suit conditions. Cheers Roy.
