    120HP Johnson 1995 Problem

I have had a small issue in my last two trips. Everything goes fine for the first 4 or 5 minutes and then the engine revs die down to a max of about 4400rpm. I think it is a fuel blockage problem. After the first time, i emptied the tank and fuel hoses, put new fuel in, but the same thing happened today. On both occassions after a couple of minutes, the first time back towards the ramp, the "blockage" clears and the engine does not miss a beat all day. It happened both times about 2kms from the ramp. Almost the identical spot, so therefore the same amount of running time. Any thoughts.

Check the fuel pump diaphram. Could be this maybe?

Spring on one side could be dicky.

Hard to find the first time but I had two motors go with the same issue 10 hrs apart Go figure!!

first off, have you got a complete tank and hose assembly to try? if not, when the motor dies, check the primer bulb to see if it is still firm, and maybe even give it a few squeezes, you have to eliminate the "easy" stuff first with some very basic trouble shooting.

    Chimo,

I will get the mechanic to check that as well.

    Noelm,

Yep tried a seperate tank and line and also pumped the primer bulb(felt normal). Neither of these worked.
