    Off Cape Moreton Sunday 3rd

My son and his mate wnet out on a charter from Scarborough today.

Short and curlies...............very very ordinary and sloppy, bordering on rough they said.

Got a feed, but most on boat only got a couple each. Mixed bag pearlies snaps, coupla rat kingies, moses perch.

No great size to anything, but still they enjoyed it, caught a couple each, and dad paid for it so they thought it was great value anyway,,,,LOL....

PS..........second hand report, i know, and some dont like 2nd hand reports, but hey, tough

Oops, forgot, they fished close into Moreton in shallows most of the day due to conditions.

lol Mike you got a gps mark for it. Mate went out Friday on a charter and they cleaned up at Deep Tempest. Said it was one of the best trips yet.

Yep certainly nothing special today, did get onto a big school of bonito, so plenty of crab bait but sure was rough, glad we went though as I always am grateful for the oppertunity.

    Thanks for the info Mike......

Well mike it would have been a better day than saturday was.
The forecast was pretty good but it was a crap day from start to finish and the fishing at deep tempest was hard but we bagged out ,no large ones the best only 2 1/2 kg.
I have never seen the ocean so confused in all the years of offshore fishing for so long.
Reel easy charters were out there and they didn't seem to catch much either.
I felt like i had gone 10 rounds with mike tyson and we were in a cat as well, tough day, cheers no worries

    Thanks Mike for the report.
If Real Easy struggled then it must have been hard work. Surely the snaps will start to fire soon, if the weather ever cools down.
You blokes are making me feel better about cancelling the trip I had planned for Sunday. Was going to take a 13 year old for his first offshore trip but pulled the pin Saturday night looking at the weather.
    Glad I did.
