    banks thursday nite

Myself and liberty heaed to the banks thursday nite for a fish.
With the forecast looking nice we headed off.Left bribie at 4.30pm.
Arrived at the banks at about 7.30pm.
Anchored in 40mtr of water on some rough ground.
Conditions where fishable aand drooped out to be glass calm at 11.30pm.
Caught a mixed bag of Red Throat,Parrot,Moses Perch,Pearl Perch,a Squire,Hussar,Milfs,Iodine Bream and a coronation cod. Also had a beadtie on 50lb for a while before the hook straightned.
Weather turned crapped at 2am westerly at first 15knots plus then swung to the south with a nice cross swell 15-20knots.
Left the banks at 7.30am arrvied back at bribie at 11am.
Had fun but didnt catch any snapper.Maybe a few mopre weeks time.

    Cheers Troy.

I know what you mean pete we in an 8mtr centre console and felt like we where on a roller coaster.
Saw 1 other boat out there.
Seatamer was at the hards and think they got a few nice pearlies and 1 squire and other reefies.
Serial Fisher was at the hards as well stayed there all nite not sure of his catch.
Hit us later being further north made it very uncomfortable.

    Hi Troy,

We went to Caloundra Wide on Friday Morning and hit the same wind. We must be right on the change over from Summer to winter. The moon was bright and the fish were on till about 07:30am. (See my Post)

Amazing that there were no Snapper around.

Hey Troy did you get that parrot at night time? I have never caught them at night time even on one of my parrot spots. I am led to believe that you wont get them at night time due to them going into hiding and making a muccus membrain in front of them to protect them from other fish. My deckie tells me he has caught them at night time.

    G'day Troy,

At least you got half a feed. We persivered and headed out Sat midday. Shite weather but decided to spend the night at Bulwer- Both agreed at least we were out of the house and a rest from the chaos (kids). Couple of keepers but nothing impressive. Bouy and seabreeze sure had it wrong last week.
    Talk soon.

    Cheers Scott.
