    bloody cats and fish

Damn cat woke me up at 4 so i punched it. haha not really. but gave a few choice words and decided to go fishing instead of to sleep. Went to the coomera river under the high way and on the water by bout 5. Beautiful!!! I tried the 2inch gulp baby shrimp first. on the way up the river i noted surface activity along the rock walls. it was a GT harrasing baitfish. had a shot at him dropped one more shot and hooked him up, nice little fella and a first for me. he went 38cm. suprised me a bit. Plently of little flatty in between. and then i saw more surface activity and got a good surface shot at another GT, he hit it straight away and about 20 sec into the fight he sawed through the 8lb flourocarbon. he mite of been bit better then the last. Got a small bream through the eye and that was bout it for a good morning on the water.
by the way, good flattie there aswell. a bloke on the ramp showed his catch of the night. a flattie going close to 70cm probly even more . its that time of the year.

Sounds like a good session mate. Good fun. Those GT's go quite hard especially when you get into the bigger ones. Worth chasing that's for sure.
