Anytime you get a fish that wont fit in the box you have to be very happy.....
My brother in law' Shayne' - hit point X in Moreton bay (wouldn't tell me the exact spot) on Thur night. He nailed these two Jews on fresh squid. The largest went 117cm and 15kg and the second - 90cm and 6kg. Apparently the big guy took twenty minutes to land and was two big for his net so had to gaff the thing! Fishing in only 4 metres of water and conditions were perfect with an ebb tide and first quater. Well done 'Shayne' - fish were excellent eating - fresh!

Great catch.....I've yet to hook into one of these beauties! Maybe this season!! L
Sea Captain,
I have been at Mud early one morning and a boat turned put 2 baits out and got 2 huge jew just like that. Gave me a wave and headed back in.
Ouch!!!!!
over two metres of silver mouth in 4 metres of water ... who would want to be a squid, not much room to escape.
Congratulations to the crew and to whoever was the cool-cat on the business end when they started rubbing bottom. Top fish !
Hmmmm. It's making me think I need a bigger boat already. Better keep my catch size down just so I don't do speeds in excess of 20 knots without the motor running. Well done guys. Those fish will be a long term good memory for you.

Nice fish mate well done.I was hoping that the recent rains that the mainland hasn't got,but the bay had ,may have stirred a few up?Good effort in the shallow water. What line class were you using,if you don't mind me asking?
Cheers.
Great Jewies there fella's! Don't you just hate 'spot X's'...
My brother was out with a mate in 'spot X' and nailed some decent sweetlip among other good fish late last week! Asked him a few curly marker q's (in the vicinity he said he'd caught them) and he failed miserably! Suffice to say i told him he wouldn't get the filleting knives until he departed with more info - haven't heard from him since...
