    Talking Sinking the trailer

This arvo was georgeous and I shoulda been fishin' but I still have another 150km of running in my car to do before I am supposed to tow my boat with it so I have not been fishing for a fair while.

...but I have still enjoyed watching the doings at boat ramps.

This one fascinated me this arvo at the southern Manly ramp.

Now is this sinking the trailer or is this sinking the trailer???

    Holy Jebus
What do you think they were thinking.
maybe they thought it would be safer to take the trailer out with them

it is amazing the things you can see at boat ramps especially on fine day of a long weekend or school holidays. The urangan boat habour at hervery bay is the best to veiw such going ons.

Dunno..... but that is sure one Fairlane that I would not want to buy off the guy.

I started taking pictures at about the time that I saw the guy in the water putting on chest waders. I reckoned that something interesting was about to happen.

They had a wonderfully looking project boat that they put in the water to do things like mark where the water line came to on it. Indeed it was a lovely project boat.

No - the those pictures above are of the launch. They did not sink the trailer as much to retrieve the boat. More importantly, this time they did not sink the car. See below...

Whilst the trailer lights went well under water, at least the plug and socket at the towbar end were out of water .....

It would have to be a company car.Every one knows that they are unbreakable, submersible also they go faster than your average family sedan and can be driven on the beach with a run up.I saw a better one last friday night at the victoria point ramp there was a cruisecraft 550 outsider sitting on the ramp and in front of the boat was a big white fiberglass line on the concrete that went for about 15 foot where the boat had slid off the trailer and slid down the ramp.Fair dinkum some mothers do have em to nice of a boat to do that to it.
    Cheers

And fuel consumption is an unknown.

I felt sorry for a boaty down at Bermagui. He was in such a rush to do the right thing and get his boat out of the water, and forgot to lift his motor. It made a horrible noise.

I saw a 4x4 with water up to the doors at Bedford Weir Blackwater because he thought a 4x4 didn't need to use the boat ramp.

I always stick to my routine on the ramp, I have to with 1 ½ T of boat but one day I was distracted and drove up the ramp only to see the safety chain unattached when I go to the top. I felt the blood rush from my head. I was lucky nothing happened.
    It can happen so easily.
