PHP Warning: Use of undefined constant VBA_SCRIPT - assumed 'VBA_SCRIPT' (this will throw an Error in a future version of PHP) in ..../includes/functions_navigation.php(802) : eval()'d code on line 1 bail closing during cast
Anyone have this problem? Well I used to suffer it with my Spinfisher (old model)
and found that it was due to the rotor turning on casting... no IAR.
Now, I am not suggesting or recommending that anyone else do this, and I agonised over it for a long time, but I amputated the arm that comes off the reel stem, and now I just close the bail manually.
A lot of high end reels have manual bail closure now, and I have never suffered from premature bail closure since I did it.
never seen it happen on a Spinfisher, but have many times on some Shimano models, especially the 'aerocast" got three and the all do it from time to time.
I have the opposite problem with one of my reels, you turn the handle, and it doesn't engage the bail anymore, just keeps spinning with it open, I think it took a hard knock on a rock (hey that rhymes! )
