I dunno what it'll taste like. My neighbours and workmates should be able to tell me how the 'reef fish' tastes though.
I'd prefer to chop the 'trophy fish' up for the others - I'll chew the pearlies and whatnot.
It's funny how non fishos are imressed with any fish they are given and even more so if they see a photo of a monster - "that'll be beautuful".
Put a saddle on that one Simon, that's a horse!
Caught some big ones on the Swains but never seen one that big
Happy Days
Scoota....
Great stuff, i dream of picking one up like that.
You would of thought you had a whale for a while!
Catchya!
How far do most people actually fish from the cape as for me the closest and most convenient boat ramp is at white island and it probably takes about 35 to 45 minutes to get to curtain depending on the weather.

Well done an absolute monster - RESPECT
Thanks for the kind replies.
Have caught many in that area up to 10kg but this one was a stand out.
Myself and my brother have had plenty of big bustoffs that are probably similar fish - we'll get a few more up this winter (touch wood).
Thats a beast of a fish on light gear.
Well done
