Re: Autopilot wont track properly
If the autopilot is getting it's heading from a fluxgate compass I would check that the heading is matching or at least very close to the COG (course over ground) readout on the GPS. If there is a discrepency there, try to adjust the fluxgate till it matches the COG and try.

Re: Autopilot wont track properly
This type of autopilot doesnt use a seperate fluxgate compass, it may have an inbuilt one. There are no user adjustments on it. Thanks for your suggestion though, I work on a remote mine site and havent been able to try some of the suggestions yet but Im thinking it may be electrical interference. I fly home in a day so I will try re-routing the wiring first and go from there, if and when I find the problem I will post the fix so as it may help others if they have a similar problem

Yes I use one and when it was working it was great, I rewired my boat and the problems started. I think I have it sorted out but have not been able to test it as the wind has been blowing its guts out up here, cant remember off hand how much it cost but I remember it was comparable to all the other autopilots.

Re: Autopilot wont track properly
Just an update, When I rewired the boat I ran 3 main power cables 100mm from the autopilot brain. Very, very BAD, I moved the box 200mm away and everything is sweet, all works fine. Maybe good thing to remember if your rewiring.
