hard day at green and wello

hey all headed out to wello this morning as at home the weather looked gud... how wrong we were wen we arrived blowin to gail
so we didnt want to get hom and churned throught the leads heading of to huybers.
threw paccies for bout an hour or so and the rough weather made it extremely hard as the wind was going against the current and casting proved difficult. but we persisted and after a while persistance paid off and zzzzzzzzz the lill 3inch shaky shad in pumkinseed went flying after a gud fight 45 cm squire on board. after that went slow again until da giving up on placcies for a while decided to throw out secret bait( chicken breast ) and he got absoluely nailed went lyk a rocket onthe surface. thought to be a schooie or a shark ping she ping biten straight through 20 pound leader. the nxt three cast go aboloytleu smoked by somthing with teeth even bit above a triple gang. so didnt end up getting it but for a shuitty day it was better than skool lol

Well done for at least getting a feed after braving poor conditions. Might be an idea to keep an eye on www.seabreeze.com.au as you can plan your trip at least a few days in advance. I have only got a 3.7 metre tinny so I really don't go chasing snapper in the bay if the winds are going to exceed 10 knots. Also it tells you the swell predictions so anything up to a metre swell for me is pretty nice. My window of opportunity was yesterday. Seabreeze said it was going to be good and when I went out I could have floated out there in a broccoli box. It was flatter than bath water. Monday according to Seabreeze is going to be a pearler I think unless they change it. May well be out there again then.

    Regards,

    Jason,

Good to see you still managed a good fish in bad conditions. Was your dad using that stinky bait stuff? Either way I guess you outfished him! Good on ya. You'll have to come out on "One Day" for a proper plastics session, no bait allowed to Mud and St Helena. I'm sure we can get you one a little bigger. Or we'll have to hook up and go down your neck of the woods. I'll have a chat to your dad at work and we'll try to arrange something. Keep up the good work.

Before you head off, check the winds at the automatic weather stations in the Bay:

I also have a 12 ft tinny, so conditions have to be nigh perfect for me to head out.

PS - I hope the links work - I just copied them into the message.
