Great sunset pic. Pity about the no hits. Do you usually get your livies that easily?
Joel
Hit the stones today with the hope of catching a gar or two for livies and floating one out for a big longtail.
Arrived at my spot and lobbed some bread on the surface.... ...good stuff heaps of gar around the bread stright away.... .
Caught one and quickly sent him out and got a nice drift and he was out 50 metres or so.....Sat back for a while and then decided to stock up of gar for the snapper season.
Ended up catching 11 gar for bait although now the Mrs reckons she loves gar to eat and is trying to claim them... .
NO big tuna around and I didnt get one run on the live gar.... .
Got a couple of nice pics on the way back.
Cheers

Fishing for the thrill, not for the kill
some good snaps pete, i went round to near dolphin point a week or so back spinning some slugs but got sweet f.a , what did you get the gar on if you dont ming me asking? at leats you got something. cheeers abbot
beautiful shots mate!.........what sort of camera do you have?
Joel.....Depends if the gar are around....Have caught yakkas there too.
abbot_86.....You get the gar on little pieces of bread....Make up a two hook rig and float and you are in business.....Dont use bait jigs unless you cut them in half as one gar will destroy your jig.
Jez and Suze......Both Camera I have had have been Canons....I recently got the Canon powershot A630.....8 megapixel.....Awesome the canons are.
Cheers
