Hey Poodroo,
well done mate in #2,, now how much better do those fish taste.. look forward to seeing more reports mate
cheers
Mike
I can't say enough how happy I am to be able to enjoy it out on the water whenever I get the urge to go and let me say my urges are frequent. I am happy to just get a small feed everytime I head out just to put some fresh fish on the table for dinner. Bagouts rarely happen and if they did my trips would become less frequent because I would have too many fish. I can relate to the kids' homework too. Mine are only in year 4 and already some of the homework is stumping me.
Thanks T. Yes it is only the beginning. There is no stopping my fishing excapades now. I am likely to bump into you sooner or later. Perhaps you can toss a threadie killer at me for me to try. Lol
Hey there Puff, yeah Brian said that you were working with him now. I'm thinking your boss may be asking why the sudden decline in Brian's work productivity. Just remember that you can but shouldn't talk fishing 24/7. Will meet you at the Touchy Memorial M&G
Thanks BilgeBoy. You know there is a good chance I could be on the water on Sunday. I volunteered my services to help Aigutso shift house but he told me that my services are not required. That frees my day up nicely thanks. If you see #2 out there feel free to stop by and chat. It is an unmistakeable boat to spot. It looks like its name.
Regards,
Poodroo

Thanks Mike. Those fish last night were just sooooooo delicious mate. If you weren't shifting this weekend I would take you out Sunday. But you have a day available next week you were saying? Could be potential for another trip as I am heading out anyway. The thing that I was totally pleased and amazed at was how little fuel I used. I headed out from Manly and went straight to Wello and set up several drifts there and then headed to Green and St.Helena and with all the motoring I did I just used 10 litres of fuel. That's affordable fishing for me. Feel free to offer fuel money if you like Mike. You'd probably get change out of a $5 note. Lol

Good to see you out and about Poodroo.Sounds like you had a top morning.Just curious as to what line class you use out there??
Good stuff Poo... good to see you out there enjoying yourself - and getting a feed at the same time. Its been a long time coming!! Those flounder a really nice shallow (or deep) fried in a very hot pan so that the skin goes crispy... yum!
Cheers,
Adam
G'day Adam, how's all that studying going? I have to agree that flounder aren't bad eating. The ones I caught were among the biggest I have seen on a hook so I ran fillets off them. I covered them in plain flour, then soaked in egg and milk mix and then covered in bread crumbs and deep fried. Mouth is watering thinking about it.

Poodroo
Well Dave there is always a saying about number twos. They are better out than in. I did have a good morning and I am sure there are going to be many more good mornings to come. #2 has been made more distinctive now with bright red Ausfish stickers on the side. Amazed that they stuck so well to the old paint really. Let it be known that AF stickers will even stick to sh!t.

Hi Andrew
You've got #2 set up now. You'll have so much fun with it. The 25hp sure is great - fantastic economy and performance.
Good luck tomorrow. I hope you get a few.

Brad
