    Old Tricks

Hit the eastern side of Green with my Dad at first light. We fished plackies for a couple of hours for only one keeper Squire and a Parrot. Things were pretty quiet with almost no drift so we pulled out the secret weapon. Stinky stuff in the form of an old Mac Tuna. Within a couple of minutes the floating cubes of Tuna were being smashed by some nice Squire. My father scored best with a 50cm followed by one at 57cm. Assorted Bream and undersized reefies kept us going for another hour before we headed home nice and early

A beautifull day on the Bay

    Cheers

Give a man a fish, and he'll eat for a day. But ,flogging him into submission will result in him taking up crabbing.... and once he gets a taste of that sh*t, well, he may never return again.

With fish like that on bait after the SP's failed miserably I will be getting my hands dirty more often . Those Bluefish might be living in fear next week on the smaller tides . Still don't have a DR so need the smaller run

The Squire at that size really go off on the light SP outfits. I think that the finesse approach worked well with 2/0 penetrators 10lb fluoro leader and no weight. I was quite suprised to score nice fish so late in the day on bait

There's room for both kids! How many times have you drifted around bait fishos and just watched the expressions on their faces as you pull in fish after fish while they're performing the great Indian dance of 'ma-hana-ma-rod'?!

Nice pair of 50's too Neil!
