hey mate have a look at the shimano rack raiders. My friend has the stradic 2500 with the raider and he loves it. i also have a raider and i think they are a great rod. i would look at the 3 - 5 kg one.
cheers Josh
Hey Guys,
I just bought a Stradic 2500 and am loading it with 4-10lb braid still unsure. I was just wondering what rod to buy to go with it. I was thinking of about
6'8 - 7'2 for chasing flathead, bream, squire and maybe a few palagics.
Cheers
Josh

the rack raiders are a great rod especially for the price,a few weeks ago they were going for $99 at some tackle stores, a berkley drop shot would also be worth a look at for around this price, if you wanted to spend a bit more money I would look at a shimano t-curve in 2-4 or 3-5 kg as they come with better components then the rack raider or drop shot
Hey Guys,
Thanks for the information. I think I will go for one of the raiders probably a
3-5kg but i'll have a look at the t-curves as well.
Cheers
Josh
I have a Stradic2500 on a shimano 702T-Curve i think its a great combo.
Hi Josh
I'm using a Stradic 2500 on a Rack Raider 3-5kg 6'8" 2 piece - it's fantastic. I've heard that 1 piece rods have a better feel so I'll give that a try next time. Something to consider I guess.

Brad
What would Steve do?

I have the exact same outfit as catfishkid mentioned. I do pretty much the same fishing that you mentioned and the rod is perfect for those scenarios
Thanks guys,
I'm going into work tomorrow to show my mate some reels so I will have a look at those rods then.
Cheers
Josh
Happy with a 7'6" raider, 2-4 kg and 4lb fireline crystal. Suppose depends on where you fish if you need extra length. I find extra 1 ft. helpful on beaches.
mate dont worry about the t,curves your just paying for an over priced raider! any way for the t,curves price id rather spend another $70 and get a loomis gl2!
