Re: Navara stx D40 2.5 td

I have a 2006 model STX 2.5 TD and i just love it, yes the lights on high beam aint that flash but i do a lot of night driving so have great set of IPF spotties on board so the high beam isnt a problem. The turning circle isnt the best but i dont turn circles all day every day either. Have done 41,000 free of problems and been off road and they do the job that i want it to do pretty well. Tow my boat 1.6 t with no problems at all even doing 145 kph apart from using more fuel. Nissans are the way to go and remember two years in a row for the Nissan STX 2.5 TD have taken top honours now.............

I went to nissan today armed with what I found in these forums and I find out tomorrow if they will replace the clutch, flywheel and pressure plate. While I was in there I was talking to a guy who owns an auto st-x. He loves it.
Well today I got the phone call I have been waiting for. Nissan have agreed to replace my clutch, pressure plate and flywheel under warranty. Hopefully it will remove the vibration just under 2000 rpm. As a result of them doing the right thing by me, I will be buying a navara at trade in.

Other than the clutch issue I have been very happy with my navara. I don't even know when my boat is on the back.

It's good to hear that Nissan does seem to fix the problems. When they're working properly they do drive beautifully. The STR is a damn good car but
the STX gives more cab room.

Mine is the RX. The money I saved from not buying the ST-X was used for the things I wanted ( bull bar, tow bar, driving lights , tray liner, roof racks). I can live without power windows and chrome mirrors.
As a tradesman ,the ability to fold up the back seats is a big plus.
