Never had the chance to chew on some bar cod. How do they rate?

Bar cod is up there with the best of the best, beautiful rainbow sheen in the flesh when you cut it, firm but flakey fillets, & what a flavour.
Close finish between them & fresh coral trout.

I am having trouble getting my head around 240m of water, I would love to give the bar cod a go but the gear I have is better suited to 60m of water

Bar Cod are terrific fish to eat but gee they are a bugger to clean. They are very slimmey and there chest bones are thick and hard to break but when your chewing on a fresh fillet lightly bread crumbed it all seems worth it.
What about this one from 2 weeks before Murf,
easily over 350mtrs, I ached for days after.
