Has anyone had experience with electronic mossie repellents.
Some are mains power plug-ins others are battery powered that you carry around with you.
Do they work, if yes, how well?

Better off with some RID or Aeroguard...
Luc,
Dick Smith used to sell electronic mossy repellent kits. I put one together and it didn't seem to make a great deal of difference to the number of mossies. Although the testing wasn't really scientific, we sat in the back yard at dusk drinking beer to see if we still got bitten. Come to think of it, the beer seemed to be more effective than the electronic repellent.

Hi Luc
Had one of the mains driven ones, didn't seem to make any difference. Eventually got tired of the buzz it made so trashed it.

My wife uses the one you put the little blue card in.

Never tried them myself but we had a box of the small ones that go on your key ring. Took them to the local Sunday markets & they walked away. Most bought 2 0r 3 with one bloke buying 8 so that he wouldn't run out. No one came back to complain so must have been OK. Bill
hi luc
ive just returned from a camping trip where there were plenty of mossies we used the plug in type that can be bought at woolworths with the little blue pad they work well indoors ,we had mossies droping dead every where ,i don't think they are any good out in the open' i've also been told to only buy mortein refills as the others stink, hope this helps

Saw a scienfic study last week sometime (cant remember where) saying that the ultrasonic variety do not work at all.
However, the plugin ones with the pads are a different kettle of fish.

Mate if you have no luck the mortein mozzie lamps are great. The opperate by a candle and blue card. We use them at home and out camping, they really work well.
Ive used the Raid candle type lanterns with good results. We didnt get a touch camped up at Bribie but our freinds who had about a thooousand mozzie coils going (so it seemed) got eaten alive.
Cheers
