    New slug rod help

Well broke one of my slug rods yesterday and am looking at replacing it.
The rod I broke was a Strudwick Bluewater 7'6" 6-8kg rod.
I liked this rod a lot but found it a bit lite for the fish we caught.

I need the rod for casting to schools of busting up fish, mackeral, trevally, GT queenies etc. and something that will get them boat side quick.

I was thinking of a t-curve Bluewater spinning rod 7'6" 10-15kg, or should i go for a 7foot rod instead. I am chasing these schools out of a boat.

I already have a Angler 7 foot 6-8kg spin stick, so I thought it was be better to get something heavier. Any advice would be great thanks.
