Glass or Aloy????????????
We've just sold our cruiser due to the fact that we didn't use it enough (same old story). So now I'm in the market for a trailable fishing boat. So far I've looked at the 17" Trophy centre console and a couple of other similar sized glass boats, they are quiet costly new ($50,000ish)and can't find any 2nd hand ones. Glass seems to feel better in the rough offshore however I have seen this Fomosa Centre Cab 5.5m (aloy). Looks like a great sea boat plus you can get out of the weather a bit behind the cab. Does anyone know these boats at all?

geees this should be good!! look at it this way, whatever somesays is GOOD about a glass boat, that is what is BAD about and Aluminium boat and vice versa, they both have their place and have up sides and down sides, there will NEVER be a clear winner, just like cat V mono, 2 stroke V 4 stroke, Yamaha V Johnson whatever, what ever you have will be best (thats why you have it)

Hey Lachie,
If you're in that market, have a look at the Polycraft 5.3 or 5.99. The ride is good, but make sure you get enough hp to drive them well.
Cheers mate

Personal opinion only, but I love these fellas...

They are just down the road from my home, so get to see a lot of what they build.
If you do some searches on this forum there is plenty of info on them.
Cheers and good luck.
