Fishing the 'codhole' or is it the babyhole?
Ok decided to fish the Codhole on Tuesday night, this is what unravelled....
Threw a few cast round the cruise Maroochy boat with my favourite sp too no alas! Had a walk down the river, and saw there was some baitfish chopping at the surface, under the light where the new bridge is, there was also a big ball of bait in shore. Ok so first cast bang! reeled him in , a baby cod, anyway im thinkin this will be great fishing, 4 hours went by and all i could manage was little baby’s. 1 cod, 4 small flatties, and 6 bastard pike! grrrr not happy And 6 lures and jig head lost the cherry on the cake!
fishingly yours
James.

I've done alright at the cod hole but on the north bank with some good size lizards and trevs but just on the turn from the top of the tide . We were using 80 mm drop bear sqidgees

Yeah I would have thrown a hook in the back of one of those pike and sent him down.
Pike are an awesome livie and make good flesh baits too.
Cheers
