if any of u guys catch longtail, fellowfin or nth. blue tuna the best thingg to do is bleed the fish from both ends. cut its throat up to its neck, then cut both sides of the tail about 4in. up the flesshy part of the tail. the best thing u can do to any pelaegic fish is brain kill it. if u have a spike or a long thin bladed knife, stab it in the middle of the head on about 30deg angle. u will know when you hit the brain. if u can stand the fish upright and sit on it, stab its head and hang on for about 5secs.

ob1- i was using 15lb mono......just heard from "wags on the water" that they are still getting around out there....i am on call all weekend through till tuesday....this is gunna hurt me!!!!

hobbsy- thanks for the tip on bleeding...while filleting the fis i realised that cutting each side of the tail would be worth a go because the blood line runs right the way down.
