Re: How Is Your Yalta Craft Going
Sorry, i started the thread and went missing. As usual i have been away in the truck.
The questions asked have been asnwered by Honda and Scott.
From memory wot 6,000 rpm about 60ksph. That is flat out.
I usually sit around 5 to 5,500rpm which give about 50 to 55ksph. This is the best running area as wot you only hear the motor working overtime and going nowhere.
Honda gets a little more speed and different revs with the 2/s motor.
Nigelr, i was looking at C/C around the 6 to 6-5m. I have thrown out the flyer on it so i carn't tell you any more than that. The C/C is a nice boat though.
The Yalta make a 615 which is a bit bigger than the 555HG and is a nice boat and at not much more in price.
Ride compared to other boats, a whole heap better than the Stacer 525 i had but it was a good boat and i went everywhere with it.
We bought some collapsable live bait tanks from the boat show with an airiator for about $50-00. I think they were also in the last Qld Monthly mag.

Re: How Is Your Yalta Craft Going
Seahorse,
I just measured the front for you internally,
From the bow to the cabin door is 2 meters, from bow to stern(on the cushions).
1/3 of the way from the bow to cabin door, port to starboard is 830cm
At the cabin door from Port to starboard is 1760cm.
The following link has some photos of the cabin with the bunk infill (which comes as part of the package. you can click on the photos for a close up view.

dunmears,
My dad had the 535, basically the same hull shape but the 555 has double the room in the back even the same removable esky and storage bin, performance is pretty much the same between the hulls. In the 555 you can fish 4 blokes comfortably. Even Dad was suprised at how much room it has in the back.

Re: How Is Your Yalta Craft Going
I am sure that someone asked if there was a Yalta Dealer in Vic or S.A.
I came up with one in Vic.
