where to catch a bull shark, landbased

i really wanna try my new outfit with a 3-4FEET shark.

it's gotta be great fun but i wonder where are the bull shark mentioned in another post.

i heard of sharks caught on the shorncliffe/sandgate jetty, is it worth a try?

what bait is the best for them? whole mullet? cut mullet? cut slim makerel? or anything else i can easily get from the tackle shops

and what tide is the best?

got this 70cm and got 1 3 footer in the lower reach of brisbane river last week.
Got them on live mullet that were bout 35cm long.
Mate theory is u will get them any where in brissy river with a live mullet bout the size i used at low tide.
Make sure there are no dick head skiers around though cuz they wont bite if there are people skiing.
    cheers

Pine River, just west about 100 to 200m from the Bridge there is a deep whole (10m) (where all us prawners gather), at night using live floated mullet , have never done any good with dead baits, will land a compulsory cattie as well, there not to shy so you can get away with using steel trace ,there are better places in the south pine but youll need a boat to get there. You may be just a bit late in the season to they go quiet in the cooler months. Have fun ,Snas.

mate plenty in all the estuaries at the moment. if youre fishing during the day, try floating the livies under a balloon. the end of s'cliffe pier is a goer, you can get em on just about any bait if theyre chewing. low tide is best, though we get em at all stages of the tide at times. the three footers will bite more if you get heavy mono trace instead of wire, but anything bigger will need wire. good luck bloke.
