    as mentioned earlier they've bundled them under tropical perches so its min 250 take of 5. the fingermark they refer to is the large scale sea perch - lutjanus johni
    min35 take 10. as mentioned earlier there wasn't a take limit on them and it seems the take limit on most other lutjanus is 10.

    yep, they look a lot more bronze when you catch them outside. You can really see the likeness with a jack. I was happy to catch 3 around the 50cm mark in the last fortnight. Estuary ones can look more bronze than that too. Go hard and you think you've got something decent until you get them boatside. Always swallow the hook too.

    They are fab on the tooth.

    as i suspected but a little confusion come in with the johni.

    so i thought id post a picy to get what fish we are talking about

    sorry about the confusion honky dory, the one in the pic is a moses, the reference i was making is to the dpi possession and take limits and because there is no seperate reference to moses perch as previously (which i think was 250 and no bag limit). the way i read it they come under tropical perches as i'd hate to find out the hard way, maybe a call to fisheries would clarify the in possession number
