    Drift or anchor?

    Hi everyone, I`m just wondering what most people prefer to do when bait fishing.Do you prefer drifting or anchoring up, thanks,Scott.

    Depends on where and when.

    Probibly 50-50 for me

    In general drift so that you can cover more ground but when the fish have been located by all means anchor up and berley. The other time when anchoring works is late afternoon when you can anchor up and fish the early evening for snapper in a burley trail.

    I usualy only have a drift or two over an area to see what sort of fish are showing on the sounder, if I like what comes up, I anchor.

    Drifting for me,
    we are usually a bit to deep for the anchor.

    Generally, drift to locate the fish & then anchor.

    In some cases I just anchor and if nothing happens, shift after 30 minutes or so.
