thanks for the info Whytey, much appreciated. I understand what you mean about the suspending idea. I've had a bit success further north with husky jerks that suspend in the one spot for a period, then get slammed. But I rate the action of a gold bomber better, so will perhaps experiment with your idea on those lures.
Cheers again mate

nice fish mate. i too spend alot of time chasing jacks in the warmer months up here around townsville. however they're not often the size of those you've shown us in these pics.
i mostly chase the red devils in the smaller creeks up the coast- skinny water- and i mean skinny! i just walk the banks tossing surface lures. my fav lure was a cheap arse gold popper(which isn't gold anymore) which never let me down until i took my oldman who outfished me with a halco nightwalker.
needless to say the cheap arse gold popper is now retired.
but yeh, i find it slow with the jacks through our 'winter' so i target sooties instead.
unreal pics ,hard to beat photos of jacks ,thats a great photo collection ,well done mate ,cheers.
This just in - caught at Brunswick Heads 2 nights ago. Not mine unfortunately.

Great jacks, i was just wonderin how u used the bomber to get so much luk
Cheers
