today we were beaten

went out this arvo to find some macs and longtail.
well we found them alright and they were very hungry....
the only problem was that i am too cheap to have replaced all my rusty blunt trebles..........

every cast the fish were hitting and either breaking the hooks or just not being properly hooked....i think all up we lost about 10 good fish and about 4 lures.

one fish was my first longtail wich gave me about 15 minutes of pure bliss followed by about 3 days of exreme anger and frustration with myself!!!!
why am i such a tight ass!!!!!!!!

tomorrow i will splerg then i will show them who is boss.....

anyway to top all this off dads toe found the only good hook on the boat....it was attched to my new river to sea popper....after a few goes at removing it we decided a shot of painkillers and a good yank should do the trick.....we headed in to see the biggest eruption on the surface we had seen all day behind us.....oh well....maby friday!!!

had the hook removed at the wynnum hospital......they are pro hook puller outerers....he was the third for the day........

for some strange reason i love fishing a little bit more

Hope he got a needle too...rusty hooks could cause a prob or 2.....lash out and buy a stone or a file as well...might make the different between a hookup or a miss....

Where abouts did you head out? There were quite a few bust ups this morning around the south side rockwall on Mud.

we went out near harries..........i think one of the main problems was i was using a swivel for the trace and when i hooked up another mac hit the swivel......also there was a hell of alot of sharks around and the longtail that i hooked i am pretty sure got hammered by one.
