    Barra#2

    Managed another barra last night. A small live herring was the bait. It was a weird bite. At first it tapped it a couple of times and i thought it was just a bream or cod. After taking the bait i set the hook straight away and it slowly came to the surface without a struggle. But once it was up it went beserk! Lots of jumps and head shakes. Also scored two queenies and a trevelly. Cant wait to go back tonight.

    thats a fine specimen. what length did he go?
    i live up at mackay for a few years before moving down to gladstone and managed to catch a few barra in the pioneer.

    Got it in the pioneer under one of the bridges, it went 70 cm
    Had another crack tonite and got two more queenies. Was stooged by something massive. Probably a shark.
