Been there already.
Seemed to be a lot more boats this time. The whole event seemed bigger to me.
One or two Ausfishers to be seen there before 7am, eg Webby and Mr Ausfish himself.
Those really good, nicely turned and cheap dongers are there again towards the back of the site on the left hand side.
One bloke was selling new rope at what seemed pretty good prices to me. Lots of sinkers for sale at reasonable prices also. Also lots of the usual bits and pieces and parts, tools etc that you might be looking for.
Some other dongers were there towards the front of the site. They were a bit pricey and in a range of sizes but Webby reckons that some of them would only be good enough for donging whiting.

Not enough time in the day, to many spots to fish!
yeh i reckon it was bigger than the last few years as well also picked up some bargains, bonzai
I reckon 100 stalls. Some good bargains, amd met up with a few ausfishers...........good to see Steve up and around.

Another Market has come and gone.
The Ausfish stall was the main attraction with Mr and Mrs Ausfish in attendance. Eileen made a wish while there, and at 12noon it came true.
I had a couple of others there with their gear and finga's dongers and handles were a point of interest. Those timber rod butts are sure to create much interest in the coming months, especially with the Rod Building Weekend ( workshop ) around the corner.
It was amazing to see so many people pick up some items and remark how cheap they were and then put them back down. ????
Quite a few Ausfishers passed by and stopped in to say hello and pick up a bargain. I only managed to grab one particular bargain that was reported to me by Scott, thanks again.
I think finga ( Scott ) spent more $'s than he made, he can't resist a bargain and he did get a few.
I'd like to thank Lloyd, Ed and Ian from Victoria Point VMR for their support and hope that the Market was another success for them.
Couple of pics below. including a item that should be in every glovebox !!!
My stall ( ausfish mini M & G area ) and a long shot, that didn't get it all in.

A good day was had by all I reckon and the cook hasn't notice any extra stuff coming home. Looks like I'm safe
It also looks like I have to make a special Webby donger. About the size of a baseball bat will do .
PS Who was the unnamed individual who HAD to go and buy 3/0 hooks just because they were cheap??
He doesn't use them and does not know anyone who would use them but had to buy not one but every box the poor guy had just because they were cheap.
Hint he had some dodgy slugs for sale.
PPS It was good to catch up with a few other Ausfishers.
I missed Charlieville though . Bugger
I intend on living for-ever....so far so good
Gidday Phill, I think you have your wires crossed a little
The thanks shouldnt go to us, it should go to yourself, Nugget and 4BC, Steve Brown and Ausfish and all the members of this site whom have willingly supported and helped us and other units as well to raise much needed funds.
The Boaties Market was a huge success for us, it was the most successful to date from a fundraising perspective and to all intents and purposes just as importantly the people whom attended were very satisfied with the day as well from the feedback we have recieved.
To all Ausfishers, VMR Victoria Point thanks you, without the support of groups such as this and the wider boating community it would be very difficult to put the boats on the water at times.
All the best to you all
Kind Regards Lloyd
Yep the Boaties Market was very successfull. A lot of boat owners sold and bought, boats, gear, chat to other boat owners, rumage through sellers product etc. and VMR Vic Pt raised some much needed funds. The number of buyers and sellers was the most that ever attended and no-one came and grumbled apart from one guy who said we should hold this every 3 months
Thanks to all who supported to the Boaties Market as either buyers or sellers. Put it your diary to go boating/fishing on Sunday 21 Oct but not before noon as there will be another Boaties Market that morning. Just tell the head chef you are going out to do a bit of shopping.

VMR Vic Pt
Well this "Boaties Market" was certainly the bigest and best ever. This event is not possible with out the support of fishermen and boaties like yourselfs.
On behalf of VMR Victoria Point I wish to thank, Steve Brown, Lucky Phill, Nugget, 4BC, Lloyd and all the Ausfishers that made the market such a success.
The donations from this event enables us to fuel boats and put tyres on trailers, just the basics so we may serve the community.
I look forward to seeing you all at the next one.
Best Regards
Moreton (Ian)
