Thumbs up Bay Saturday First LT

    Hey Lads,

Hit the Bay around 4 am this morning with my 2 bro's, Started at Mud, Very slow, not much action at all, Bay was smooth so headed down to Harries for a flick, got a 41cm Squire and 39cm Cod both on 4" Gulp Minnow Lime Tiger. A lot of undersized, saw heaps of boils north and west of Harries, plenty of boats already on the western boil, no boats on the north, headed up to it, set my brothers up for a cast with plastics, they coudln't get on (not that experienced both bait fishos), now my turn, tracked the boil back down, good cast................Whammo! 6Kg Longtail(or i think it is a Longtail) took me a good 15 mins to get him, boy they have alot of fight in them, only using my 2500 Capricorn on a 4-6Kg rod, handled it well and was suprised as the fish was easily the biggest i have landed on that setup.

Headed up to St. Helena after the surface action went quiet, got a few more undersized squire, sole (which are damn yummy) and a few other throwbacks.....

All in all a great day and really enjoyed it, but i gotta stop smokin, i was buggered after catching that tuna!

    Cheers
