Drifted the nerang river last night with live poddys, managed a few little bream and got busted off on something big....
Hooked this fella on my 6-8kg action strudwick sikstick, abu reel with 38lb braid and 40lb wire trace, 4.0 hooks.
Nothing special about this fish I know, but its my first bully and I was pumped, he put up a good fight.
Good stuff mate....that guy has got a bit of size to him. He would've been a handful no doubt!

yeah he sure didnt want to behave and get in the boat, so had to gaf him and knock him out in the water.
I allways get my poddys before it gets dark, no way am I gonna stand around in knee deep water after dark lol

yeah if your taking one home for a feed its better not to net them as they will tear it to shreds ussually a thumps and the gaff subdues them
so they say.....
A nasty little bitey that one.....He is big enough to give you a nice bite!
