Hi all went out for a quick spin session after work today
I was throwing 85gr raiders around only had the one hit and nailed this solid big eye new pb big eye 66cm just under 3kg dnt pull as hard as the gts but still good fun.pics aren't reel good got better pics on film left digi at home
I picked up 2 big-eye trevally last Sunday in the Maroochy River.
The first was still in kindie and barely went 30cm the other was about to graduate from primary school and measured 44cms.
Congrats on getting one of the high schoolers .... 66cms is a good size trevor.
Interesting to note that both of mine fell to slugs too. Couldn't get them to bite on poppers!
thanks for the replies
that big eye beat my pb by nearly 20cm all b4 it have benn avg 40 cm, mate landed a 68. and a 62 was banked by another mate.
last night also hooked a few only landed the one 58cm foul hooked him in the eye and coudnt release was not wasted though.mate landed a 64cm model dropped probally half dozen
tonite had to go again first to hook up but fish wraps me around a rock after many wasted minutes finally snaps off and by the time i tied a new leader on they were gone cpl mates landed and dropped a cpl in the 10 15 mins they were on for.another 15 mins casting not a touch.
