Sounds alright to me , how many parts per million of salt are you trying to achieve ? Quite a few litres of water will go through in 3 minutes.
Runaway Bay Marina has a 3 minute engine flushing policy

my manufacturers handbook says 6min flush
... i only work to support my fishing addiction.....
This wouldnt be long enough to open the thermostats, make sure the first thing you do is flush the motor whilst its still as warm as possible.
You must have a small outboard Hervey.
I like to flush my 200 Vmax for around 7-10 minutes but when she told me there is a 3 minute limit,i was astounded as my owners manual states 7 minutes minimum.
Jack.. Where did you find this out? how are they policing it? Will be there tomorrow so jst getting heads up
cheers
Garry
Garry,
I was at the Marina last week and i asked if there was any wash down racks like they have at GC City Marina and she told me that you have to wash down and flush your motor whilst it's sitting in your rack and the limit is 3 lousy minutes.I'm not sure how they'd police it as the office is out of sight.
Ask them if you can pay 6 monthly like GCCM,annually is a big whack at $3,300 and quarterly is too expensive at $990 ($3,960 for the year) I wanted to pay 6 monthly at $ 1,650 but they don't offer 6 monthly, maybe if enough people ask they may change the policy.
I'm currently at GCCM and 80% pay 6 monthly,it's the best way to do it but i find GCCM too far from the Broadwater, but it's a much better storage facility with better wash down racks with gerni etc.
Runaway Bay is right on the Broadwater,so decisions, decisions.
Let me know how you get on tomorrow.
