Like maybe you were on long service leave or retired and fished too much?
Like maybe you were on long service leave or retired and fished too much?
No.
What a horrible thought.
Not really but when you do it to make a living you tend to get a little burnt out going in rough weather all the time trying to make ends meet and keeping your local shops stocked with fresh fish it can start to get a bit monotanis but the good days make it all worthwhile.
Sometimes I get sick of the effort involved in getting ready for a trip, travelling the 300+ k's to the ramp, driving the same back home, then all the cleaning etc. I find if I don't go out for a while, the thought of all the effort makes me not want to go. But one trip out and the effort seems all worthwhile and I'm all gee'd up ready to go the next weekend. Could never get sick of the fishing part.
Dave.
are you serious? I never get sick of it! For me its not just fishing itself, its also everything to do with it such as boating, spending time with mates, or a little time alone on your favorite spot waiting to catch that one fish , camping in the great outdoors, 4 wheel driving to that remote fishing location , the list goes on and on!! And it is the cheapest therapy for a s$%tty week!!
Yup, getting there quickly!
Sick of being landbased and not having much to show for it. Tried all the spots on the N'side and a few south with no photo's worth posting on this site. Spent Easter at Amity Point and could n't even manage a legal whiting!
The one I went off Wello in a boat nothing but grinners and >30cm choppers!!
Either I get a boat or the rods reels and tackle goes ebaying....
not happy jan
I think the saying goes : A bad days of fishing is better than a good day of work
No. Never have and never will. Can't get enough of it. We're still talking about fishing right?
Poodroo
Yep, i dont do it enough to get sick of it, in fact tommorrow, im driving around cleveland and redland bay to look at places, will also be taking the soft plastics rod for a bit of flick,,, beats being at work or on the couch
mike
i sadly admit i did once
i had my little boat and was constantly bombared by friends to go fishing that it got to the stage i was getting home from work theyed follow my into the drive way un invited this never bothered me but i just go very tied and was always broke and once asked one of them to get some fuel it all went mad so i stopped fishing and just wasnt interested in the hassle then out of the blue a mate invited me fishing and im a fishing nutter again
No, don't do enough of it at present.
However, while I love my fishing and when on hols I happy to go everyday, to fish day in and day out would quickly give me the cXXps.
Luc
yer, sadly I did give it up for long while(sick of not catch'n anything and the speed of my 4hp ) but now with my new boat and joining of this site I can't get enough. I'd be out on the water everyday if I could
is time to go fishing yet
NO just get sick of not getting out enough
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day , teach a man to fish and feed him for life .
When I take the boat out it's nearly always with my Dad, my Son and one 'lucky' mate. With company like that it's not likely that I could ever get tired of it. The problem is that life sometimes gets in the way of fishing.
Make the most of the opportunities you get.
