Thread: is there any squid in the broadwater?

    is there any squid in the broadwater?

    just did a quick search of the forums but couldnt find anything relating...so yeah is there any squid in the broadwater, or the gold coast for that matter??
    I know of a few weedbeds around the place but was wondering has anyone had any luck jigging for them ?

    have seen a fair few in the canals while breamin, now carry a rod rigged with a squid jig and havn't missed out in the last 3 trips.

    As long as you don't think you're going to get away without explaining how you caught "heaps" mate?!

    What sort of areas have you had this success? The more specific, the better. Any particular details you'd care to share with us about times, tides, jigs, etc etc....?

    i did see a few snorkelling in the seaway a couple of years back, they werent real big though, perhaps 8 inches or so. and we did manage to hook one in tallebudgera creek but they are no where near as thick as they are down south in sa/vic

    sweet, at least I know I wont be wasting my time now, and do have a chance at getting some, thanks

    any tips or techniques that work well would be appreciated if anyone would like to share, oh and
