    Breambo's over Easter

    Hi All.

Had a few bream sessions over the long weekend (Nice change from chasing jacks all summer). Headed out on friday and doing some experimenting with different hard boddies. Ended up with about 10 fish up to 30cm. Also got smoked by a horse bream and lost the second SX 40 to a reasonable jack that made short work of the 4lb leader.

Got a call from my brother that afternoon and he and Drew took out the Gold Coast Easter Classic with a bag of 2.8something. And Drew got big bream of 1.09kg with about 15minutes to go. A bit of a dampner on the day with Dave loosing his whole tray of hard boddies. He doesnt know if they blew out of the boat or got stolen at the weigh in.

Hit it on sunday and was hard work with the wind but ended up with 10-12 fish to 30cm. Also got a couple of cod that went pretty hard on the light gear.

Sunday was a good session with a fair few bream makin the boat ended up with a pb on hb of 33 fork length which put up a good account for itself. Hopefully this will be smashed by a brute when i head down to Foster to fish the megabucks in a couple of weeks. Fishing with Drew should help a bit as he finished first overall there last year with Dizzy.

We are also looking for some sponsorship for the event as the entry fee is a $1000 per team. If anyone would like to or knows of someone that would like to sponsor our team for the event, please PM me. The sponsors receive their logo in the results in QLD and NSW Fishing monthly and if we are lucky enough to win they get a full page add in the spread. Maybe we can also work out something if weare lucky enough to finish in first place about replacing the sponsorship with some of the earnigs

    Cheers Nick.

Nice Bream why-ting.......Those little sx40's are just a great all round lure.
When I lived in Sydney we used them round the oyster leases in the Hawsburry.
I lost countless lures to huge bream.

    Cheers
    Pete

Nice stuff Nick. Good to finally get a glimpse at the fish after hearing so much about em. That 33 fish looks decent.
Great to hear you are going to fish the mega$$$$$ champ. With all the fishing I've done with you over the summer I've gained a fair amount of knowledge and have no doubt you'll give a good account of yourself......... at least a bit better than Dave did with Drew. LOL!

    Cheers bro,

    Rich
