Moreton Bay was wild today - Police add to danger

What a story on Channel 7 TV news! Police officer orders couple of blokes to leave Moreton Island - they are a bit under the weather but comply with order - get swamped and menaced by sharks - fortunately, rescued and talking up a storm.

It's just wonderful - our Public Servants are running wild. Again.

No sympathy from me, the conditions were well advised, there was no requirement for them to get as wasted as they stated they were, might be a mistake by the police officer for not taking the key from the boat and making them sleep it off,so bad conditions and grog....but it was someones elses fault, like those poles that jump out in front of cars when someone ahs just "had a few"...drinking has no place on water or the roads...

TV News. Now there's an unbiased source of information. Also comes back to our modern society where no one is responsible for their own actions anymore.

    G'day

I also saw the story, and well... what a couple of bogans.

I dont believe a word they're saying apart from the fact that they were drunk.
I'll back the coppers on this one, As far as I understand it, there was no requirement for them to get in the boat and head off, only a requirement to leave the resort property after a designated time if you're not a guest.

Nothing stopping those two fools walking up the beach until they soberd up.

    Saw the story.
    Typical one sided effort.
    Who knows what happened.
I was once involved as a witness to a story and when I saw it on the TV that night I didn't recognise the story at all. EVERY fact was wrong!!!

Re: Moreton Bay was wild today - Police add to danger

I saw the news and it's in todays paper, but I'm with the police, I mean they were told to leave the resort as they were not guest's, it hard to understand why they thought they would start the motor and pull up pick, in that weather and a 5mtr boat, they couldn't have got far as a guy in an inflatable paddled out to get them, so if this guy can paddle out to them how bad could it be.....

    cheers Chris...
may you get a bend in your rod and your esky open often

They were pissed and stupid. They could have slept it off or not got pissed if they knew they had no place to stay and besides with the forcast for the weekend surely they knew the bay might get more than a little unpleasent.... NO SYMPATHY, THESE DICKHEADS GIVE US ALL A BAD NAME.
