    Exclamation Nudgee Creek Platform missing

I often go there for crabbing & prawning and topic was brought up about closure for repair. I assumed they have done the repair...

Till yesterday I was shocked one piece of platform was missing, so I launched my boat and load my kids on it and went up creek and didn't know that we pass hidden piece of platform which moved about 1 km away from the ramp. (I was concentrating the front of my boat for safety) till we went back to ramp and found the missing platform was float inside mouth of little creek and tied between trees...what hell and why dept does nothing to it...
We have paid boat rego and tax of course! to keep our boat ramp and platform maintain?
    Anyone know?

sounds like a case of your tax dollars at work..

Ditto with roads, we pay a traffic improvement levy on our car regos each time it comes around, yet traffic ain't improving. What a scam. I bet if I charged our company's broadband customers a broadband speed improvement levy on top of their bills and failed to deliver better speed, I'd get nailed from as.shole to breakfast time by the department of fair trading ....

I hope tossing a line around it produced favourable results tho ...

    Re: Nudgee Creek Platform missing

Well that was a futile effort the members secretary phoned back and has told me that they are now in discussion on a totally new pontoon so it could be whenever i guess ,i suppose they see sense in spending thousands of our dollars on this {you can only imagine how much} instead of fixing this problem with a mobile welder and some new pins i saw it when it was broken before they towed it away even if they fixed it untill they design a new monument to them selves and pat themselves on the back as to how good a job they do for the RATE PAYERS talk about banging in a nail with a sledge hammer maybe i need to send jim soorly an email if it would help i doubt it........

    Re: Nudgee Creek Platform missing

gawh...Don't need new feature pontoon and I totally agreed with you to get site welder to weld new joint and install pin...that will cost around a grand my guess...
Why not send email to Jim or else you can think any better person to get good attention?
