    Chopper Down At Tangalooma

    G'day

Heard on the radio today about midday that the tangas resort chopper went down relatively close to the wrecks.

Only person onboard was the pilot and he is ok considering, Was anyone over that way and see it go down?

Glad the pilot made it - I'm told those things don't float too well! (Some fixed wing pilots will tell you they don't fly too well either).

Now if he only ditched somewhere shallow enough to dive on.....

I was there when she went for a swim.
it went down 400m north east of the wrecks.
talking to the Micat Captain he said they looked for the chopper but couldn't find it. they seem to think its bouncing along the bottom with the current.
they even got a F111 to fly over and get a few snap shots.

Returning from undergoing maintenance, I heard.

Comparisons can be drawn with the way some of my outboards have been serviced in the past.
