Pine River (Friday night)

Went for a quick fish with a mate & his son in the Pine River from 8-10 Friday night. Tried to fish the area around the sunken wreck, but without any mozzie spray it was impossible. Headed back near the bridge, where a bit of wind made the mozzies more bearable. Caught a few undersize bream, catfish & moses pearch. Only scored one keeper for the night, a 50cm flathead. Pretty dismal, but with the cooler months approaching things will get better.

A bit colder and the bream might come on but I don't think the mozzies'll bugger off. These should be coming on now

i remember a few years back catching quality bream at DWB in the cooler months, but in the last few years i have caught nothing but undersized bream around there. Actually i can't remember the last time i caught a fish land based from DWB its been that long.
