with what tackle do you target your fish
i am trying to expand my knowledge fellas and was wondering if you blokes could give me some insight to what gear you use to catch your target species
target fish= ???
rod
reel
line / braid
leader
hooks / lures / sp's
area you target when fishing (if you can give your secrets away) = depth/structure you target to find your fish
if you want please copy and paste the above layout and fill in the blanks to keep it simple for me

Re: with what tackle do you target your fish
The gear I use if for fishing towards the north of QLD. So its a bit chunkier than what you may use towards the south. None of my gear is massively expensive, but i find it does the job well without taking a mortgage out to buy gear.
heres my boasting list:
target fish= Trevally, mackerel, cobia (pelagics etc) /popper fishing and jigging for occasional bottom fish.
rod. T-curve 15-24kg
reel shimano Spheros 14000
line / braid: 50lb tuff line braid
leader: 120 jenkia/or wire
hooks / lures / sp's: anything shiny
target fish= Bottom basher outfit
rod: Wilson live fiber 15-24kg
reel: shimano tekoda 700
line / 60lb Mono
leader 120lb mono trace
hooks / lures / sp's 2x ganged 5/0 hooks for bait fishing
target fish= Jacks, barra, lure casting snags etc
rod: T-curve 8-10kg baitcaster rod(cant remember the model)
reel shimano curado
line / braid 30lb braid
leader 50lb Mono trace
hooks / lures / sp's (Im a huge fan of halco lures, They are the cheapest lures you can get with tough trebels and good action and a nice finish IMO. and Aussie made. My fav for up north is the Gold laser pro)
