Tassies Arthur River trip with blaze

We have been holidaying in Tassie and called to see blase and his family.
It was great to meet up again.

After a lovely lunch(Thanks Mrs blase), blaze asked if we were busy for the arvo.
On hearing that we had nothing organised blaze suggested a trip in his tinny.
I think he may have wanted to try the new outboard(just joking).

70 odd km's later found us launching the tinny in the Arthur River on Tassies West Coast.

Blaze took us up to the river junction about 30 miles upstream.
I do not know how fast we were going but the motor was purring along well
The river is very beautiful and is popular with tourists . Charter boats take visitors on Cruises.Scenery varies from open timber to rainforest type bush with ferns.
It is great for photos, plenty of reflections.

After a very enjoyable arvo on the river it was back to blazes' for a coffee and then then across to the Smithton hotel for a delicious meal.

    Thanks again blaze

If only it was warm enough for Jacks or Barra I guess you make up for them with big blubber lipped Bream though. Looks like a beautiful place i hope you enjoyed it Ihope to go there one day myself. No fishing?

    Hi Andrew,
    Correct,no fishing.

Unlike Victoria ,Tas. require a inland fishing license for Senior Cits.
As we were only there for 2 weeks and close to the sea most of the time it was not worth getting a license.

Strangely enough they do not have to have a licence to fish at sea.

So my fishing was all in salt water.

I think also blaze was being considerate to my wife .
Last year she sat in the motel while blaze took me on a great trip around the islands North of Tassie.

As blaze has said ,it get wet and cold.
But was still a very enjoyable afternoon and was really appreciated by both of us.

    Seabug,

shame you didn't given m a bell On the way around - we could have organised a tuna day out of Pirates Bay.

Blaze don't know anyone looking to sell a 5.5m tiller steer plate alloy. Looking to get midnight marine, or tri star mrine to build me one.
