Hi all,
Left Bongaree boat ramp at sunup this morning brimming with exitement and cocky (cocky because we had never chased LT's before) expections of getting onto some LT's that Eric and Deb have been posting about. Conditions were good this morning and scooted out the front of Bribie with no trouble at all. Came across a few schools but alas nothing came of it. Because of our inexperiance I guess we didn't realy get that close we tried keeping the motor going in idle, in gear, cutting the motor but we just couldn't manage it.
We went into the passage after that and found some bait near a dropoff and fished there missed a few hits but got a grinner, pike and an undersized flattie woohoo .
Some guys that left the ramp when we did said they were going to chace Snapps and we met them at the ramp when we came in and they held true and were filleting there catch at the cleaning tables they looked around the 40-50cm mark and had about 4 or 5. Should have followed them insted, although conditions were good and I shouldn't complain.
