I must be doing something wrong if you caught your bag limit and im struggling to get a keeper! Was using 12pd braid with 14pd flurocarbon leader mainly using gulps. I think i need to downsize my line strength!!

What up mate Cairns becoming boring??? or the other Site is in Drag, though it might have been one of you exiles

Must admit never been spooled but come close, but then again i'm not into the same cotton wool either that some use.

Well done FOGGY in those conditions, do you prefer braid or mono, both! I am using mono and deciding changing to braid, and trying softies, great pics.

    Wak69,

Use braid primarily because the line capacity almost doubles in most cases.

Webby, Me, insecure, you must be joking

    Mickstar,

Downsize your leader when the fish are quiet. You will see a big difference in the amount of hits you get.

    Guys

Go to agree with Ed Man, being spooled (250m) really shouldn't happen. Ive caught longtails in the bay to 13kg on a 2500 reel spooled with 8kg braid and let me tell you they go a crap load faster than any bay snapper......just need to start your engine quicker and get after them
