I am dead keen on catching a Trevally from the shore in the Brissy River...

It seems they will be around in the colder months?

How do I catch one? I have a 6ft 6 estuary, about to put 9lb braid on it for some better strength...

other than that I am clueless!

    BIg questions are:

    where is the best spot

    what bait

    what rig

    what tide etc...

    need some help boys....

Never fished Brissie, so can't help you with spots.....but rig-wise, trevs are suckers for slugs(10 or 20gm raiders) or poppers(River2Sea bubble pop 65).....tide-wise...as long as there is run, you *should* have some fun!

    Good luck.....Trevs are great fun!

Anything is possable but I don't like your chances. Over the last 5 years of fishing the Brizzie for bream I've only caught 2 or 3 trevs and they were only 20cm long.
    Good luck though.
