    Oil Bottle Update

    Hi All
In my last thread I posed the question of whether to buy genuine or non genuine parts. My dilemma was having to buy an oil bottle that i was quoted $140.00 for.

Well update to this is that I made one myself.
Using the fittings from the old bottle and drilling a few holes this is what i have come up with. Old one on left. CONTAINER will not react with oil either.!!!!

COST $5-00 and about ten minutes.

Excellent to see people building and fixing things these days instead of just replacing all the time.
Hope the bottle works well for you.

I just removed the oil bottle altogether and now just pour a litre of oil into the tank with 50 litres of fuel, I find it much simpler and I can lean it out abit if I want to.

Here is larger pic although not so clear. The bottle is for gear oil which goes into stern drive so i can't dispense with it.

Not much effort ,, finding suitable bottle was the hardest part.
