Re: Is this the norm in QLD?

I had a young bloke who worked for me who wanted to buy a boat from what sounds like the same mob at Yatala 2-3 years ago. He paid a $500 deposit pending finance approval, the agreement was if finance was not approved they would refund the money. Finance was declined, they told him to get F***kd, they were keeping the dough as far as they were concerned he could have got a loan from someone. (He tried his own bank and a finance company and was declined).
The bloke is a severe stutterer and was being treated like absolute shit and they mocked his speach impediment to him and at him.
I went out and tried to talk on his behalf as I thought surely it could not have been as he had told me and their had to be a communication problem. He and I were threatened by 3 huge blokes to punch our heads in and to get off his f***king property or he would have us arrested as well. On top of that they reckoned they would take Steve to court for breach of contract and make him pay the whole $15,000-00 if we didnt "Piss Off"
Now, I dont know if this is still the same owners or not, HOPEFULLY NOT, all I know is that the people that were there at that time were totally lacking in any manner relating to honesty and a fair deal. Why anyone would want to do bussiness with them if they are the same people is beyond me. Threats, bullying and intimidation, great pr tools from people wanting to make a sale.
Buyer Beware, I wouldnt buy a glass of water of them if I was dying of thirst....

I think it's time to point out that we ARE NOT talking about Logan River Marine, who seem to be a nice bung of blokes. When my finance when arse up they gave me my deposit back

I think that would be a VERY FAIR ASSUMPTION Hamish73, I dont exactly know the name of the yard but I think people will put 2 + 2 together and get the right one.
